"The heavens declare the glory of God..." King David likely wasn't speaking of the heavens we cannot see, but the closer heavens just above that give us an awe-inspiring glimpse of our Father's majesty. The stars, the moons, the sun, the galaxies and their beautiful colors. The planets, comets, eclipses and so on. "The skies proclaim the work of His hands." What a beautiful truth! When we see creation that He simply spoke into existence- even what we can't see, we should marvel. His mighty work shouts of His grand, unmatched love. Romans 1: 20-21 tells us that, "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world, being understood by the things that are made, even of His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse." When we ponder His creation, when we consider His power, to deny His foundations, leaves us without excuse and without the proper reverence. This is an excellent verse/truth on which to meditate and pray!
